Napo → 6 Towers → Bocaue Peak → Babag Ridge → Temple of Leah
The hike started at Sitio Napo, where the city noise faded fast and the trail narrowed into a steady climb through quiet hillside communities. Every step upward traded pavement for dirt, and the air got a little cooler with each turn.
The first real landmark came into view as the six towers rose above the ridgeline — tall, steel, and strangely comforting once you'd been walking long enough to want proof of progress. From there, the trail kept climbing toward Bocaue Peak, and the final push up was the kind that makes you stop talking and just focus on your breathing. But the summit made up for it: a full, wide-open view in every direction, hills folding into more hills, with the city a hazy outline far below.
From Bocaue Peak, the trail turned toward Babag Ridge — a long, exposed stretch that tested tired legs with its endless mix of short climbs and steep drops. It wasn't a single big challenge but a series of small ones, one after another, until the ridge finally started sloping down toward Busay.
The descent brought a shift in scenery — trees thinning out, houses reappearing, the ground turning smoother underfoot. And then, almost suddenly, the Temple of Leah appeared: grand columns and quiet courtyards, a strange but fitting finish line after hours on rough trail. Standing there, legs sore and shirt soaked through, it felt like the perfect place to end it — proof that the whole climb had been worth it.
